BubbleLand

I have been accused of living in a bubble. And I can understand how this would appear by a person on the outside of this bubble. But the bubble I am in is the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, I am ‘in Christ’. A phrase used over and over in the New Testament letters to depict where a believer in Christ lives: in Christ. I actually have believed into Christ.

And I pray that the whole world would join me here. In Christ, there is no judgement against each other. In Christ we see Christ in the face of every believer. In Christ we love one another the way Jesus loved us – by laying our life down for each other – considering one another over our self.

We not only live by the example Jesus left for us when he walked this earth: “Everything I do and say is done by my Father who dwells in me, for I and my Father are one.” But we live our lives by that very same life. Because Jesus rose from the dead to become a life-giving Spirit. It is the very life of Christ in us that propels us in everything we do and say.

Now, do we do this perfectly? No. But we don’t give up when we fail either. As a young child learns to walk, we keep going. With our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
