Heartbreak struck our family in October 2021 when my nephew and his family endured the tragic loss of beautiful 12-year-old Ela. This song rose out of the heartbreak through my 3-year-old grandson, as we gathered together in the catholic church building to try to offer a bit of support during the immense grief her family was bearing.
Below I introduce the song to children during children’s church, explaining, “My grandson looked up at the large crucifix at the front of the church and said, ‘That guy’s stuck!'”.
