What would Christianity look like today if powerful people hadn’t exerted powerful control over it? [For example, by translating the Greek word Ekklesia to church instead of its actual meaning: democratic assembly. Which would therefore mean Jesus actually said, “I will build my democratic assembly. And the gates of hell will not prevail against it.”] Do you think it may look like believers in Christ gathering together in homes and meeting from house to house and town to town to exalt the Lord Jesus Christ, and together realizing and testifying that we are all part of the one body of Christ? It seems that would shake up the world. Not with war – but with love and peace.
Sadly, there are believers who have been taught and believed that because of the faction of Christianity they were raised in, they can’t celebrate the Lord with a person not in their faction. This is a masterstroke of the deceiver of the body.
Lord, open our eyes to see everyone who has received you by faith as received by you, and welcomed into our fellowship.
