What Does God Want?

Perhaps the Lord wants a people who will give credit for the good that is in them to the One to whom it belongs: God.  Perhaps he doesn’t really care about the good, kind, nice, generous, caring, benevolent acts people do, content receiving the praise (glory) themselves.  Perhaps the Lord wants a people who humbly acknowledge that any good they do is because of the living Lord who dwells in them, doing the works.

When he walked this earth, Jesus was always quick to acknowledge his Father.  He gave credit to his Father for the works he did and the words he spoke.  He even said if people believed in Him, they didn’t really believe in Him, but they were believing in the One who sent him.  Is our foundation the solid Rock?
