Where is our Faith?

Faith – where is our faith? Is it in keeping the law? As in if I keep the ten commandments God will be happy and reward my faith?

Is my faith in good works? As in if I do things that are ‘right’ and ‘good’ God will be pleased with me and reward my faith?

Or is my faith in Jesus Christ? As in I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ dwells in me, and I in Him (as I am a member of His body) and His life in me leads me to do His will as I trust Him. And God is pleased with His Son in me – and God gets the glory and my faith is rewarded.

“Christ in me, the hope of glory” is my very great reward. His life in me is eternal – therefore I have eternal life when I receive Him in this flesh and blood body. It’s not something I have to die to receive. (Although my ‘old man’ does die at baptism – but I’m talking about physical death of the body.)

The rest of my life is an adventure of His life in me leading me according to His will – forever.
