In the Fullness of Time

God planned just the right time in His-story for his Son to put on flesh and enter into space and time. And throughout His-story, leading up to that time, there were people who looked ahead and believed God would enter into the world (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, to name a few (Hebrews chapter 11), and the two prophets in the temple, Simeon and Anna (Luke 2:25-38).

And after the resurrection of Jesus Christ, there have been many more who have believed into Jesus Christ. But believers have been fractured into so many divided groups for so long, becoming tied to religious ceremony. Many believers do not realize the importance of coming together to enjoy a simple meal, celebrating the Lord Jesus together.

Could this be the time when God will open the eyes of his people to see that not only has the Lord offered us forgiveness from our sins and His resurrection life indwelling us through the Holy Spirit, but he has also received each one of us into His one body?

Is it possible for believers to gather around an invisible God (unseen by physical eyes), without an intermediary leading us? Can God alone lead His people by the indwelling Spirit he has given us, house by house?

Oh Lord, open our eyes to see the reality of what you accomplished on the cross for us! You destroyed the dividing wall of hostility, not only between Jew and Gentile, but between believers as well! Move our hearts to boldly love one another with your love shed abroad in our hearts.

Let us gather together, house by house, to acknowledge, we are members of the one body of Christ. Amen.
